Solving Complex Engineering Problems
This project involved designing a complementary system for encapsulating specific liquids within delicate layers of UV-cured resin to form perfect spheres that can be ruptured when necessary.
I led the physical experimentation to understand and control the behavior of liquid surface tension, while developing sub-microliter dosing systems. I also developed and built the system and tackled complex engineering challenges such as precision control of fluid flow and micro air bubbles formation. The outcome was an automated machine capable of consistently producing flawless encapsulated spheres, advancing the state of the art in liquid encapsulation technology.
